What is Red Light Therapy and How can it benefit me?
Consistent exposure to high quality Red Light Therapy helps skin, muscle tissue, and other parts of the body heal. It uses low levels of red light to target skin and cells and increases the production of mitochondria. In doing so, cellular energy sources are stimulated which improves cell function and the body's ability to repair itself.
There are so many benefits of red light therapy because of its positive impact on inflammation; including, weight loss, hair re-growth, healing skin disease, arthritis, pain reduction, sleep improvement, and positive impact on people that suffer from dementia. The list goes on and on!

Red Light Kirkwood. The space, device and mission.
Our mission is to make a medical-grade red light bed accessible to as many people as possible. We want to provide the healing power of a premier bed that is typically only found in medical practices, or is priced too high for most people to afford.
The device. We invested in a red light bed that is typically only found in medical clinics or professional sports recovery rooms, and only available to a small pool of clients of private practice or collegiate or professional sports teams. Optimal benefit from red light therapy beds is largely determined by wavelength, power, size, and quality of light. Our bed produces 196.48 J/cm2 and 960 mW/cm2. It is made in the United States and is a Class II FDA registered device. We included a hydraulic lift to ensure our clients do not have to pull and push the canopy. We also attached RLW Miracle Tones which uses music and vibrational mechanics to elicit a cellular response in the body. As crazy as it might sound, the hertz frequencies, coupled with vibration, can produce profound improvements in the body. You will also have access to our vibration plate, which can improve lymphatic drain and circulation after a red light session.
Our space. Your journey. We decided to provide our bed to clients in complete solitude. You have the room to yourself and completely disconnect from the wide array of distractions that bide for your time and energy. The space is completely yours and operated solely by you. Open the door, start the bed, and embark on the journey. We don't even have anyone at the door. But you can always contact us with questions and feedback.

What is Red Light Therapy?
When you expose your entire body to red and near-infrared light, a part of your cells called the mitochondria, or the “powerhouse” of your cells, soak it up and make more energy, also known as ATP (adenosine triphosphate). By increasing the function of the mitochondria using our medical grade red light bed, a cell can make more ATP. With more energy, cells can function more efficiently, rejuvenate themselves, and repair damage.
Red and near-infrared light occupy the “long end” of the visible spectrum with wavelengths of 630nm-940nm. Red and near-infrared light is effective for use on the skin's surface and can penetrate up to two inches into the body affecting the cells, tissues, blood, nerves, the brain, and bone.

Interest in red light therapy initially surged due to NASA's experiments with LED light to support plant growth in space. Researchers noticed potential wound healing and tissue repair effects, prompting further studies. This has recently given rise to several forms of light emmitting diode therapy (LEDT) modalities. Since then, various studies have examined its impact on skin health, muscle recovery, and even mental wellness.
